They explained the importance of bloggers in coverage of the local delegations.

The host tried repeatedly to push them to say that blogs were being included to provide a leftist slant, but the guests were not biting and underlined the relative independence of the blogging community.
It was clear from the story that this is a pivotal and transformational moment both for those engaged in bringing traditional journalism to the net and for the net-pundits who are bringing perspective and analysis.
That's a lot of pressure, people. Clearly, I better find someone more up to the task so I can spend that week napping.
